fit like never before. Maria has been 'operating' on ladies' & men's' wardrobes
since 1982, when she co-founded the Dress Doctors in Chicago Illinois.
Since then, drawing on her experience of teaching at The Ray Vogue School
of Fashion Design and from her mentor Rosa, Head Fitter at Saks Fifth Avenue,
she has explored all major designers' creations to fulfill the needs of the
ever changing body Besides offering style and color analysis, creating event
wear is her true passion, especially mothers of the bride and groom ensembles.
By utilizing her proprietary fitting system "Your Personal Fit", it is possible
to transpose your body measurements into a great fitting garment the first time,
every time, saving you countless fitting visits. Now, you no longer have to say or hear, "I hate everything in my closet!"

About Maria Your Personal Fit The idea for Your Personal Fit was the brainstorm of Maria Long, who has has spent most of her life creating fashions and fitting ladies apparel. She designed her first complete ladies line for a Chicago and Los Angeles based specialty retailer. This led to a venture which focused on large ladies designer collections when this trend was in its infancy. During that time, Maria also taught sewing, tailoring and pattern alteration at Ray Vogue School of Design in Chicago Illinois. The economic slump of the eighties offered an opportunity to capitalize on the reduced rate of new clothes purchases. Maria partnered in a very successful concept called "Dress Doctors" which gave new life to client's existing couture and designer wardrobes by reconstructing out of date fashions into more current styles. Hence one can appreciate her fitting skills and techniques, which she has applied in the development of Your Personal Fit Our team of designers, pattern makers, technical engineers and sewers have spent countless hours perfecting our methodology so you can enjoy the benefits of this system. We have tested Your Personal Fit on sizes '00' to '3x' and it still amazes us and our models how well it works.
